前面，我们已经介绍了雅思写作中的两种亮点句型：插入语和倒装。今天，我们将介绍第三种方法，即强调句型。相对于前面两种方法而言，该方法更容易掌握，鉴于其句式比较固定，即It is + 被强调部分+ that+句子剩余部分。需指出的是，这里能够用以强调的成分可以是除谓语的任何成分，比如说主语和状语。当然，如果想对谓语进行强调，我们也可以采用其它方法。下面，我将分别对其进行介绍。
A. 基本强调句型It is……that……
①．主语的强调
例：
原句：The interaction of the two shapes a person’s personality and dictates how that personality develops.
强调句：It is the interaction of the two that shapes a person’s personality and dictates how that personality develops.
原句：Stability destroys people’s ambition and barricades people’s steps.
强调句：It is stability that destroys people’s ambition and barricades people’s steps.
②．状语的强调
1.时间状语
原句：As we know, the problem was not solved until recently.
强调句：As we know, it was not until recently that the problem was solved.
2.方式状语
原句：Children can learn the meaning of the courage through competition
强调句：It is through competition that children can learn the meaning of the courage.
